Giving FCC School First Time Visitor?

At First Christian we are devoted to continually deepening our relationships with one another and our understanding of Jesus. We frequently hold special courses to encourage personal spiritual development, to learn how to better live our lives as Christians, and how to be better stewards of God’s resources.

DivorceCare is a practical course and group experience for people experiencing a separation or divorce. For more information and to register CLICK HERE

Financial Peace University: Each January, FCC helps people start the new year learning to get peace with their personal finances. Learn more about our class here.

Ministry by Strengths: Each Fall, after the school year starts, we provide adults a course that helps people discover their top five strengths from a list of 34. The course relies on the book StrengthsFinder 2.0, but sets the results in a biblical context combined with conversations in small groups. Learn more about our 2015 course here.

Faithwalking 101 Retreats: If you want to explore personal transformation, we partner with Faithwalking to provide a transformational experience that impacts every aspect of your life and relationships. Our pastor, Dr. Dunn, is a trained team leader and presenter. Participants stay overnight Friday and Saturday. The weekends start of Fridays at 5pm and end on Sunday about 1pm. Find out about upcoming retreat dates scheduled here.

24-Hour Silent Retreats: In a hectic and loud world, silence is more than golden; it's deeply transformational. Our silent retreats are held at the beautiful retreat center The Cenacle. Our pastor, Dr. Dunn, leads these retreats through a combination of suggested readings, prayers, ideas for meditation, and overall guidance on how to use the time in silence. This years silent retreat will be help November 20-21, 2015. Find out more about them here.

Learning Events: First Christian also holds periodic learning events that are designed to be timely and helpful. We often say, "We don't check our brains at the door." These times are great for learning and dialogue and are usually very interesting.
